Shop 'til you drop!

Western Australia is a shopping mecca for tourists seeking the unique, the inspiring, the classic... or even a fantastic bargain!

Offering exciting shopping outlets which cover both local and international goods, the city itself is a great place to soak up the vibe of the 'friendly city' whilst perusing the shelves at the numerous duty free shops.

Be sure to stop for a coffee and catch your breath, before you dive into the next round of shopping.

Curios, fine-arts and sculptures, aborigian art, fashion lables, jewellery... the list goes on - and with a decent exchange rate, many visitors find that buying those special treasures for loved ones back home doesn't hurt the back pocket at all!

It's all here to be discovered - what are you waiting for?

Meet the i-City Volunteers

For helpful advice from local volunteers, the City of Perth’s i-City Volunteer Hosts provide a free city information service in central Perth to welcome visitors to the city. In their blue and green uniforms, the i-City staff are clearly visible as they move around the city, or work in the i-City kiosk in the Murray Street Mall.

Tony Cousins (left), has been an i-City Volunteer for 5 years, he loves the benefit of keeping in touch with what's happening in and around Perth and taking visitors on orientation tours of the city.
Val Carlson (right) is relatively new to the i-City kiosk starting earlier this year. Val enjoys being able to help our visitors and believes her new role to be personally rewarding.

Operating every day of the week (excluding public holidays), these wonderful people are full of information about shopping, events, sightseeing and activities around the city.

If you’d like to get to see the City of Perth from a different perspective, the i-City Volunteer Hosts also conduct free, guided walking tours, such as the i-City Orientation Tour - a one hour walking tour that introduces visitors to the city and Northbridge.
