Rockingham Wild Encounters

Rockingham is WA’s premier destination to experience a wild encounter with marine wildlife in their natural habitat. Rockingham Wild Encounters offers ecotours to experience the wildlife & spectacular coastline of this special destination including:

1. Dolphin Swim Tour - an exhilarating experience of swimming with Logo, Boomerang or any other of over 180 bottlenose dolphins in their natural environment.

2. Dolphin Watch Tour - a fun filled 2 hour cruise. The boat features a viewing platform where dolphins bow ride just beneath your feet & an underwater microphone to listen in to the dolphins. Includes visit to a local mussel farm & sampling of our tasty mussel recipe.

3. The Penguin & Sea Lion Cruise - A 45 minute cruise through the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park on our glass bottom boat. Highlight includes sea lion viewing at Seal Island. Cruise concludes at Penguin Island in time for Penguin feeding.

4. Wildlife Safari at Penguin Island - Guided sea kayaking tours of Penguin & Seal Island. Regular wildlife sightings include dolphins, penguins, pelicans, skinks & native birds. Highlight includes visiting sea lions at Seal Island who often enter the water to swim playfully amongst the kayaks.

5. Dolphin, Penguin & Sea Lion Day Tour - See the best of Rockingham’s wildlife in 1 day! Includes Dolphin Watch Tour, Penguin & Sea Lion Cruise, picnic lunch & guided walk on Penguin Island.

6. Penguin Island Ferry - A short ferry ride is all it takes to meet the world's smallest penguins! Ticket includes entry to the Discovery Centre, where interpretive feeding sessions are held at 10:30am, 12:30am and 2:30pm. Take a guided "Waddle" around the island with a ranger or enjoy beautiful swimming and snorkelling beaches.
