"The pilot greets everyone and makes sure we are all happy and secure. Everyone dons their headset so we can talk to each other. The pilot is talking to the control tower, then one final check that everyone is grinning, and every so gently, we are floating.

The visibility from the helicopter is fantastic as the majesty of the Swan River opens up beneath us. We head out over to Kings Park past Perth’s tall buildings and busy ferry port. From Kings Park we fly to Subiaco Oval. It’s packed, and we manage to see some of the action on the pitch. We start descending as we approach the river and fly along Belmont racecourse and Burswood Casino, with great photo opportunities on both sides. The pilot spots a pod of dolphins hunting in the river as we make our final approach to the helipad.

It lasted forever and was over in a flash at the same time. I’m definitely taking a flight out to the beach next time".
